The current packaging wasn’t doing justice to the quality of the product and the story. The aesthetic of the packaging needed Indianness.

Earthy Souls is a brand that caters to health and wellness products which bring the wholesomeness of Indian organics to Australia. The recipes for their teas and cookies are rooted in the goodness of Ayurveda.

Creative Process

Owing to the famed statement ‘We eat with our eyes first’, we knew the packaging had to have elements that represented what’s inside the box. We had to bring out the ingredients of teas and cookies to resonate with the consumers. So, every time someone picked a box of Earthy Souls range they knew what the key ingredient was. Our research to bring Indianness to the packaging came to the perfect destination with Bhil Art. Bhil art is a popular Indian traditional art form that looks similar to Australian aboriginal tribal art appeared the perfect art form to bring the roots of India to the Australian market. The dotted pattern built a beautiful connection between the two nations while representing the roots of Ayurveda through it. We used brighter colours in our illustrations of the ingredients to represent a healthier and happier lifestyle. The idea was simple- to make the packaging intriguing and stand out on the shelves. The dotted pattern along with the bright colours didn’t just give an aesthetic appeal but also brought out the goodness of Indian organics. To make the packaging furthermore interesting, we added the story of Earthy Souls and quirky taglines for a little modern touch. The revamped packaging gives out the connection between Indian organics and the fusion of Indian and Australian cultures.
